Fortune Magazine recently released its 2009 list of World’s Most Admired Companies, and Travelers is recognized for the fourth consecutive year.
Travelers is ranked second in the Property Casualty sector, behind Berkshire Hathaway. The top eight companies rank as follows:
1. Berkshire Hathaway
2. Travelers
3. Munich Re
4. Swiss Re
5. Allianz
6. Zurich
7. State Farm
8. Liberty Mutual
The company continues to climb the ranks of most admired companies. In 2008, the company ranked third in the property casualty industry compared to fourth in 2007 and 10th in 2006. Travelers’ 2009 ranking is based on the company’s overall reputation, specifically for social responsibility, quality of products and services, and quality of management.
